Overview Knowledge of managing dirt operations (top soil stripping and placement, excavation, embankment, lime and cement stabilized subgrade), planning and scheduling day to day activities in a safe and productive manner, and management of SWPPP controls. Management of barricade and traffic control including flaggers & signage - knowing how and when to utilize.

Regular Duties

  1. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  2. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. 
  3. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  4. Gain the respect of others by being fair, honest, reliable, and hard working.
  5. Other unlisted duties will be assigned.


  1. High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  2. Ability to communicate in English and/or Spanish via verbal and written communications.
  3. Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  4. Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature. 
  5. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
  6. Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
  7. At least five (5) years of supervisory experience as a dirt superintendent or foreman.
